Hugging via the Internet possible??

Now hugging via the Internet is possible all thanks to a suit created by students and researchers at NUS (National University of Singapore).This device allows one to feel "hugged" by a family member or friend even if one is in overseas.

This research shows that the world is every is improving every day,every moment.In the past no one would even dare dare to fantasise handphones ,what more about about this hugging device.Hence,this shows that if one does not keep up with the pace of the world and continues to live in his own bubble one would very soon lose touch with the society ,hence we should upgrade one with ourselves IT skills.Who knows maybe in the future paper would not be needed and classes are over the internet.Everything is possible in the 21st century,as long as we have the courage to try,to attempt on an ambitious project one might become the Albert Einstein of tomorrow as they say it "there is a will there is a way".So keep our imaginative mind open and not constraint it.So as long as we persevere we will succeed isn't that what is it all about in a science laboratory?So keep our minds open,and maybe you will hit the headlines for a technological breakthrough.

stomatic cell

People research stem cells because it can self-renew indefinitely and generate all the cell types of the organ,and has the potential to regenerate whole organs from a mere few cells .
It possess two properties:able go through numerous cycles of cell division while maintaining the undifferentiated state and generate progeny of several distinct cell types.However scientist think that this is not an essential property but due to the ability of adult stem cells to be being able to be harvested from the patient.Also this method is not controversial as it does not require the destruction of an embryo , and are not restricted to certain lineages.
Hence adult stem therapies require a stem cell source of the specific lineage needed and harvesting a certain of it.Thus this method has successfully treated leukemia and related bone or blood cancers through bone marrow transplants.
I feel that we need to have an adventurous mind as before who found out that stomatic cells could be used for these , many thought it was useless and did not bother investigating its properties , hence we need to have an adventurous mind to try out new things and you might stumble on something amazing.

HOPES for term 4

I hope to score a A1 for my EOY as if I get an A1 my MSG would be better.And to achieve this I will do more , read more and revise more as I want to get an A1 for he EOY as this is a very crucial exam and I hope to do well in it, and ace it

Term 3 reflection

During this term I work harder then term 2 and changed the way I revised science and got better results.However I will practice more on science as tireduce careless mistakes and hopefully point out which area I am weak in and improve on it.
I also hope that we can watch more videos as videos will usually be more interesting and I will learn more and it is more enjoyable as compared to a lecture.

Term 3 test reflection

I achived my target as set in term 2 and got a B3 for this term's test ,a major imrovement from C6 to B3 , which means that my new revision method worked and I will contiue to use this and improve on it.However it was the same old mistakes like careless mistakes such as spelling mistakes andlack of content knowledge.Also I hope that more examples of compunds/elements can be give to us as I was caught off guard when a question was set on examples.And I will continue to work hard and hopefully score better in term 4.

Term 3 lesson

I thought again that the topic of cells would be a breeze and again like the last term I was again confused with the new addition of cell parts and I am rather confused.However I think that I would be clearer by the end of the Term.I also knew more cell parts like in a animal cell, there were ribosomes, and also vacuoles were in them.Also I learnt that muscles can be divided in to 3 major groups voluntary, smooth and cardiac.And all these were not taught in primary school.

HOPES for term 3

My main target for Term 3 would me pullig up my grade.As a C6 would mean that my MSG would be rather high.Hence I have set a target for myself of acheiving at least a B3 for Term 3.And I will work doubly hard to achieve that as I felt hat I did not prepare well enough for the test , and my method of revision was flawed.Hence pulling up y science grade from C6 to at least a B3 would be my main target for Term 3.

Term 2 reflection

I did pretty bad for term 2 at all subjects,but the worse subject was science.And I tink the problem lies with me no be ardworking enough and the wrong revision methods, and I will work on these problems as mentioned in the earlier post .Also I think that the lessons that are very interesting and I sugges that there could be more hands on.

Term 2 test reflection

I got a C6 for my test was very disappointed as I did not expect such a low mark , and it pulled down my MSG.However when I checked my paper I found out that there were a few careless mistakes like mixing the caculations up as I had forgot to separate certain things , also I found out again that I did not know certain things , which means that my revision was not good enough as I had just read through the worksheets, handouts and powerpoints many times but that was good enough.And I will add on to that by hand copying the notes etc. in the upcoming to ensure better marks as I believe I will remember more.

Term 2 lesson

We learned about elements and compounds a very intereting topic to me as state in the earlier post.However I felt that we could have more experiments on mixing different chemicals and metals together and observing the result it produces.However there was not much thrill in the experiments as we rougly know the results.But some the experiments were quite interesing.

HOPES for term 2

I wiuld like to learn more about chemicals/compunds as there is always a question mark on what would be the end result and wold happen.And this really arouse my interest in learning about this topic and I loook forward to learning more about this topic in he future and hopefully in term 2.

Reflection for term 1

I liked the practical sessions in the science laboratory the most, as it was fun.Because I learned better from these experiments then just lisiting and not doing anything and I also had while learning.Also I had done a lot of experiments that I had never done before, while repeating a few that have been completed in primary school, but I took the repeated experiments as revision. I also learnt there are may ways to learn new things but I prefer to do hands on and not just through books and lectures, but through hands-on. This way learning would be more fun and interactive.

Term test reflection (term 1)

I got 31.5 for the test and was rather suprised as I did not expect myself to get an A1.However I will strive to improve as there were some careless mistakes and I also found out that there were some content knowledge that I did not know.Hence I promised myself that I will work harder and revise for the next term test to do better.

Term 1 lesson

When we first touched on this lesson I thought it would a breeze.But it turned ou differently as I had problems uderstanding how to read the vernier caliper,also I had problems understanding the microscrewgauge too however I quickly understood unlike the vernier caliper as I had to ask many friends before I understood it

Introduction to Science

In the first few lessons we were briefed on the rules of the laboratory and what tpe of apparatus is there in the laboratory , but the one that I found the most interesting was the bunsen burner as until we touched on that I thought flames were just flames and were all the same.I learnt what was luminous flame and non-luminous flame.Luminous flame is unsteady and it is not very strong as compared to the non-luminous which is strnger and steadier.Also we learnt about the Bunsen burner and strike back.Strike back occirs when too much aoir is present.
